Instagib

Instagib, which is widely considered as one of its own gametypes, changes the whole style and gameplay of WarFork. Primarily dominated by maps such as "bipbeta2 (aka. cwL4)" and "aow-fragland_b7-1", this server modifier does not use Normal Weapons at all. Instead those weapons are replaced by the Instagun which has infinite ammunition. The new weapon is powerful with one shot one kill. This game modifier is strongly based around precise aim and fast movement, knowing many ways to use the Instagun to your advantage. Instagib may be enabled to any match unless disabled by the server host by typing g_instagib 1 into the console, or it is under the "Play" section in the main menu to the right of normal weapons and to the left of race.

Basic Rules

• While Instagib is enabled using g_instagib 1 into the console, all weapons are replaced by the Instagun which has infinite ammo. To disable Instagib, you may use g_instagib 0 into the console.
• Each shot received results in instant death, leaving -999 health displayed.
• Health and Armor aren't important in Instagib due to the one shot one kill mechanics, however instashield can be used as a form of armor/temporary immunity with g_instashield 1 active in the console.
• All gametype rules are identical to when 'g_instagib' is set to 0 in the console, however there are added features such as Instajump and Instashield.
• Players always begin each round with 100 HP and 0 AP.

Instashield

Instashield is a special shield that is unique to the Instagib mode either by callvoting or by typing g_instashield 1 into the console.

• If Instashield is fully charged, a player can crouch to activate it. Instashield makes a player invulnerable for 2 seconds, after which the Instashield has to recharge before a player may reuse the ability.

• Instashield can only be used if it's fully charged, and takes 5 seconds to recharge.

Using Instajump to gain insane amount of speed on bipbeta2, a community-made map. The mechanic in this video is known as tubejumping, and is an important gateway to achieving fast speeds on many maps.

Instajump

Instajump lets players jump by shooting under themselves. It won't hurt the player because Instagun doesn't deal splash damage when allow_selfdamage is set to 0 by either callvoting or using the allow_selfdamage 0 command into console.
It can be enabled either by voting or by typing g_instajump 1 into the console.

• Players primarily use Instajump to gain speed quickly, whether it is through using special jump ramps on some community-made maps, tubes (as mentioned in the video caption displayed on the right), or building speed off of a wall by shooting it at the right time.

Tips and Notes

• In Instagib it is important to stay moving at a comfortable pace at all times, as stationary players (also known commonly as "campers") are fairly easy to kill due to the one shot one kill mechanics.
• The Instagun's logo in the bottom right (Default HUD) shows the charge level of the Instagun: .

Notable Clans & Individuals

Instagib has been competitively dominated by multiple clans and select individuals worldwide since the release of the the gametype. Each clan listed is a group of select individuals organized under a set leader(s).

• Need Narcotics (nn.) - A clan since the very beginning stretching from bomb, ca, instagib, race, etc. Players involved in the clan make up some of the best in the league. Initially organized by user "n00n", the clan was fairly small; however once n00n stepped down, he passed ownership to players "Catcher." and "weed.", eventually growing the clan further. As of 2022, players from nn. still play fairly actively, with notable names such as "iiZa." continuing to dominate the Raging Deathmatch (RDM) scheme.
• PER - A clan organized by "RE4 (formally known as RE4PER or BATTLERE4PER) considered as the best clan in Instagib as of Feb 2022. This clan has been active and thriving, running their own server (PER Instaserver) as well. There are many notable players involved, including Froid, whom is widely known as one of the best worldwide in Instagib, and dominates and holds many livesow #1 titles on race. n0wayn, also known as "AL1BI" who started off in many normal weapon lobbies and was able to easily obtain status and rise to fame in the Instagib community.

• Froid - A veteran player who holds many titles across the game. Currently involved in the PER clan, Froid has made a name for himself and a lasting legacy behind him. He is widely fantasized and known to be the best instagib player, however that term can be used broadly and biased. He has shown no mercy throughout his gameplay, including many #1 scores in race under the username Yes!Froid. Nobody knows what his next moves will be, however many see him continuing to dominate the Instagib scene for years to come.
• Meep. - A veteran player who first began in the duel scheme, then started learning how to play Instagib at a young age. From the ground up known as many nicknames such as Meep, Sn!p3r, 12Tr!x, KingJ, etc, he has risen to be one of the best in the US and open to helping new players learn and master Instagib. Although many individuals do not think highly of this player, he has done his best in attempt to help the Instagib community.
